[1.0.0][Old request] Is it now possible to send an output for logging and debugging in 1.0.0?

I want to review my long log which made with WriteLnToChat (Or HogSay). Outputting it to an external log file would be the best solution, because there's so many of them. But I can't, still is, just like what I remembered.

I've asked about better logging and debugging before, but I don't know whether that is already been done or not while I was in my deep slumber. It is already been heard by the devs, though, iirc. So I would like to see that yes, it improved on 1.0.0 or so updates - or something similarly good.

Nope, logging hasn't much changed. There's no separate file for that.

But in the log file, stuff that comes from Lua script will be prepended with “Lua: ”. So you could use this knowledge to filter out the irrelevant stuff.

But yeah, that's not really the most convenient way to do this.

[2] I knew about that but yeah, it does filter most things out.

[3] Can you add some improvement to the logging system, please? The logging for debugging. This is a fairly important feature in my honest opinion. It would hurt to not have this...




Main Suggestion:

⠀⠀⠀A new function (Do not name it as "Debug" because I already have mine, or "debug" because system reserve) and a new log file where everything script debugging-related are stored would be really great- no, it'll be super great. This is a basic feature, a must-have for modding; scripting, in this case.

Optional:

⠀⠀⠀+Different from debugging one, kinda, adding an in-game chat-log would also be really great. The difference with debugging one (If this optional chat-log is implemented) would be that this shows in the game chat history, where the first debugging function would only show up if the (new) variable that controls whether it's a dev-test match or not is true.




If both is too much hassle (for now), then the least minimal would be the basic logging function, or the chat-log file. Either way, any of them works.
