Soo I obviously wasn't around when 0.9.16 was released :D
Buut I come with good news!
For Mac users, Hedgewars binary for 0.9.16 is now available and it is downloadable from the Download page. This bundle is compatible with any PowerPc or Intel Mac running Tiger or greater cats.
A 64bits build, optimized for Snow Leopard and above will be available from the MacAppstore shortly, as soon as they bless the update.
But that's not all! Also the iOS version has received an update and it has already been approved! This one fixes the glitch reported on retina display devices.
Finally, we are celebrating 1 year on the AppStore by making it free for a week! Good times...

btw, i found a bug in iOS, you can put every hedge in the Time Box, if you do that, the game freezes :O

Mac version--
Hey so I've been having this bug since 1.5 came out, and it seems to continue with 1.6
I'm using a macbook pro, OSX 10.5.8
I have to reinstall HW from the DMG everytime I want to play, because after the first time opened after installation, the program simply doesn't boot from the application directory. No error message, just double click and nothing. This would be fine if I didn't have all these shoppa maps to install each time :/
Again, this plays fine the 1st time opened after installation, but never after that until reinstalled. It also plays fine directly from DMG..
I tried deleting the HW folder in the application support directory, but that didn't fix anything. Any suggestions?

you don't have to reinstall maps when you delete the application, they reside in another folder.
Anyways i believe that the problem is similar to what is reported here: http://code.google.com/p/hedgewars/issues/detail?id=245&can=1&q=mac
Also for MacAppStore installs, you need to delete the previously installed version before you can install the one from the dmg.

Yup, moving the crashing app from application folder to desktop and back again did the trick.
