Alpha testing for 0.9.19
Wed, 2013-02-20 17:25 — Koda
As someone noticed on the forums, we're aiming for a release in the next few weeks/month! We've prepared a nice snapshot of the current development tree for you to download!
Windows: http://download.gna.org/hedgewars/hedgewars-0.9.19-alpha.exe
Mac OS X: http://download.gna.org/hedgewars/hedgewars-0.9.19-alpha.zip
This version won't work on .18 multiplayer, only .19 people will see your rooms; be aware that this is an ALPHA release so it may break EVERYTHING (but shouldn't).
Please report any bug on http://code.google.com/p/hedgewars/issues/list we'll highlight the user who reports most bugs ;)

What happened to Linux? You can at least release the sauce code of this snapshot.
Inu
Linux is the easiest of the bunch.
You can find instructions on how to grab the source and build it right here.

Indeed. No point in releasing linux snapshots, since it is far more useful for linux users to do proper builds, which they can do in just a few minutes and easily.
He only did it for Windows users 'cause, well, gotta make up for their OS deficiencies

Well, quite a few bugs showed up.
Guess there's gonna be an alpha-2.
nemo
Huh. Quite a few? There was one filed on the AI issue, but that one was known at time of release.
If you have others, file 'em!

Hey, finally got to give this a try. I'm not a super duper pro shoppa, but I do play shoppa a lot and I think rope feels a lot smoother now, so thanks. Rope changes get my tentative +1 vote.
I did run into some frontend issues, but I haven't built latest so don't know if these are already fixed or not. At any rate, keep it up. If there is another alpha release in the next two days I can download it and try help with a bit more testing.
