Wikipedia says GPL software is not allowed on the app store, citing the Free Software Foundation as a source. Has that changed?

Actually, wiki relies on article about removing VLC (licensed under GPL) from AppStore back in 2011. But, as you can see now, 'VLC for iOS' is currently available on the AppStore.
So, I don't think this is a problem anymore, as soon as app is free.
