Much better. But I still think it should cause more damage. Its Napalm

Yeah, or at least it should let the hedgehog make fly highter/slip harder.
Anyway, nice work.

Well, if I may suggest something... :P To make it more realistic (after all, it's a real weapon of war), you could make the following: when the fighter comes and drops the bombs (rockets), let them hit the ground and make small explosion(like the normal air strike) that scatter flame-rings like very very small Hellish bombs (or better - like the Molotov cocktail in Worms, because it burns only on the surface). Then leave the flames to burn a little bit on the surface (that means leave the whole burning of the solid ground) - seen that on not one or two documentaries. It will also fulfill one of the wishes above (Marvin's) - napalm should do more damage. By making a carpet of flames on the surface underneath the hedge-target(s), it will make them roll and scream in pain ]:->

i like rbaleksandar suggestion. espacially:

because by now napalm always spares a few pixels and you can't walk through it or use the rope in a normal way. And these pixels left are hard to see!

That's true too. I've done really stupid things because of such small peaces that cannot be seen. And I don't want to play the game staring at the display from a 10cm distance :P

So I'm not the only one who hates a 'pixel-field' (as I call it)
It may be hard to code or w/e, but couldn't the excess pixels be destroyed somehow, so no more pixel field.

The coding should be something between airstrike, gasoline bomb (from Worms (2D), but I'm not sure if that is the correct name) + some granade-code Smile

Josh's idea is good because this problem is more often. for example also with the hellish hand granade.

Maybe code it this way:
after flames (or explosions) check for pixel groups with less then 5 pixels and remove it, or something.

I think Worms handles the problem of these "unwanted pixels" by turning them to sprites and letting them fall to the ground.

I like the Napalm rework with the rockets (bombs) Smile

...and these sprites fall down in the background and vanish as soon as they are behind the landscape, I like that!

i like it with the missiles. about the land, i actually like bits of the ground staying in the air. reminds me of the old dos game tank wars. i wonder, though, if it is possible to have an option for ground to stay up or to fall like in that game? keep up the good work!

Arrrgh!!?!?!

I blowed me up because i was standing in this pixel-field and the nade couldn't get through it!!! it stucked and exploded right in front of me... Tank wars was great, no doubt! But we don't need silly and handicapping stuff because of nostalgia!

I like the missile drop, but shouldn't it do more hp damage and less damage to the ground? It looks like it burns really deep.

There's air strike for that purpose.

I really like this feature, and I was surprised that napalm doesn't work like this (I'm using 0.9.13 and well, having napalm burning from the top to ground is ridiculous).

If I may add something, I would make missiles to explode when they reach the cross sign you place in air. This would allow users to better use the wind.

Hoping to see this feature soon... BTW, I'm seeing this is a very old thread: is this feature been definitely discarded by devels?

Actually, no, I don't know why it wasn't continued so far. Smile
