Hi Smile

I do believe that some people from the team (if not all!) have thought of this, but I will propose it so that it doesn't fall into oblivion Wink Smiley I noticed when you start a single player game (didn't play so much in multi - still mastering the weapons Smile - so can't say if it's the same there) no matter how many times you start it using the same map, your hedgehogs are always on the exact same places as the previous games. I do believe an option like in Worms for 1.Randomizing worms' position by each start and 2.Option that offers the player the ability to place all worms on places he fancies, because since there are not so many maps (yet), it kind of gets "boring" (in "" because it's more annoying then boring) each and every game on your favourite map to be on the same places. Here is another interesting fact that spoils more of the whole picture of this awesome game: if you choose the teams that'll take part in the massacre in the exact same order you get the EXACT same actions executed by the AI. An example of such scenario(don't laugh about the commands please Big Grin ):
H_Ln = Hedgehog from team L={A,B} with number n

______________________________________________________________
GAME 1(teams A,B; map="blablabla")

initializing game...
loading map = "blablabla"...done
loading team A...done
loading team B...done
initializing completed
starting game...done

H_A1 shoots H_B1 in the head with a bazooka.
H_B1 throws a granade at H_A1.
H_B1 kills H_A1.
Team B wins!

game quit...done
______________________________________________________________
GAME 2(teams A,B; map="blablabla")

initializing game...
loading map = "blablabla"...done
loading team A...done
loading team B...done
initializing completed
starting game...done

H_A1 shoots H_B1 in the head with a bazooka.
H_B1 throws a granade at H_A1.
H_B1 kills H_A1.
Team B wins!

game quit...done

etc.
etc.
etc.

You get the idea I hope Wink Smiley

So that's my suggestion - add a button in the game menu (where you select maps, teams etc.) for the player to choose if he wants the game to randomize the positions of the hedgehogs or the player alone.

Thanks in advance Wink Smiley

PS:You can add the other stuff from the menu, like choosing number of crates that'll appear during the game, time befor sudden death and so on.

If you generate another random map, then choose painted one, hedgehogs placing will be another. And stop calling them worms Aghh Sad Smiley

They're hedgehogs... not worms :P
But however I totally agree with the 'choose your own location' part.

Well take it as a compliment Wink Smiley Fixed it, see Big Grin

No, you got me wrong. If you choose a random map (not the option for choosing randomly from the set of random maps), it always does the same. What I meant was: choose whatever map you want AND every time you start the game(with exactly the same map + map theme), the hedgehogs are on different positions (well, since there is a limited space on eah ch map there might be some sort of cycle that cycles a limited set of positions (not very limited though), so that the player has the feeling that every game on the same map has randomly positioned hedgehogs).

Thats all. Hope this time I explained it better :P

Bye Wink Smiley

I approve this.

especially the first point: Randomizing hedgehogs' positions by each start

imho the second is not so important but nice too.

I prefer the idea of option 2 moreso than option 1, to be honest...

Both should be there.
1) is intended for lazy people (like me Big Grin)
2) is for people who have enough free time Wink Smiley
