Hi,
I think you shall post this link on the download section. It contains the - often updated - packages for ubuntu! (Getdeb is a very very useful site for ubuntu users).

This is more easy to use .deb that to compile it with a script 
(...but you may already know this site ?)
edit: good find. i did have a sarcastic statement up about ppl not being able to compile things themselves but i remembered there was a time i couldn't do that either. i do use that site when i am lazy and it is great to see the game is available for download.
There could be a link to Getdeb in the download section.
