hog sliding bugs
there are two prominent bugs that appear when a hog is sliding (or rolling, which I imagine is the same thing).
first off, sliding can be immediately stopped if you activate a rope (or maybe other weapons too). This looks rather unrealistic, for if a hog is sliding quite fast, it will stop on a dime when it uses the rope. It also creates a rather nasty bug, in that if you activate a rope right next to a wall, you won't bounce off it, but will stick to it. This will of course lead to either falling on the ground, or if you have enough time, aiming the rope at almost a 90 degree angle in order to stop yourself from falling.
the other bug with sliding also involves fire. If we take the hellish grenade for instance, once it explodes, a hog will usually start rolling on the ground. Even if the ground itself is on fire however, the hog will not take any damage from it as long as it is rolling, which in itself can take a long time, thus diminishing the possible damage.
The first thing's something I've never noticed.
Nope. If you run or roll on a ground with fire fast enough, you'll only burn your fur - that is if you're a hedgehog. In my country there is even a dance on live coals. And what's more - I'm sure you've seen or even did people who jump through a camp fire.
And after all - as the devs say - HW's main goal isn't realism.

The first one you'd have to try in the game (like in the ropes map), its really quite evident.
yes, I know about dancing on embers, and that rolling on the ground fast enough can keep you safe from fire. what I'm talking about here is really slow rolling. I've seen it happen a lot of times in the game. And you are contradicting yourself, if its not about realism (which it isn't as you said), than no matter how fast they roll, the fire should still cause damage (simpler to just disregard motion when calculating the damage)
It depends what's better. This I cannot decide. But since realism isn't on the front page so to speak rolling in may or may not cause damage. The same thing goes for the rolling itself - one might break his/her neck when performing this on a rocky slope don't you think?
