No Sound Effects PCLINUXOS

I finally managed to get this game working but for some odd reason there is no sound effects. The sound files are in the proper folder and I set the sound effects up to 100... no sound effects please help...
Did you try current stable release (0.9.11) or svn (0.9.12-dev)?
The old sound system (0.9.11 and before) has some problems on some linux/unix systems (i.e. pulseaudio iirc) which should be fixed in 0.9.12 as the whole project will use OpenAL then.
I am using 0.9.11. where do I downloads 0.9.12?

Important: At least some basic programming skills (how to obtain tools, compile code) required.
Or just wait some more time till it's officially released.
Oh well, I guess I'll compile it in Ubuntu...Will have to check how it's done in Windows.
