Suggestions from Born2Crawl
Guys, I've figured these suggestions out this summer, but couldn't find time to sort them somehow and post them here, here they go unsorted:
1. Remember the state of tags under hedges (Team, Name, Health, ...).
2. Remove black dots in the corners of the wind indicator.
3. Fix black line at the bottom of 1x1 battle picture in UI.
4. On Linux, the menu item refers to a small XPM icon. Replace with a big PNG one.
5. Make the position of Exit and other buttons in UI equal for each of the screens (fixed distance from bottom).
6. Turned on sound constantly consumes 100% of CPU on Linux.
7. The longer the rope, the smaller FPS?
8. Sometimes clicking the map in 1x1 battle mode does not redraw it, only changing the theme.
9. Allow for removal of teams?
10. Allow for removal of Default Team?
11. Warn about the big number of hedges for a given map BEFORE starting a round (Too many hedgehogs for this map!).
12. Smooth the edges of HEDGEWARS word at the main UI screen.
13. Make a separate ABOUT button, since the HEDGEWARS word is not obvious to be it.
14. Why there are no helmet hats, as on the UI buttons, or other ones?
15. How to avoid SDL window blinking with Compiz, even when not focused?
16. Allow for hiding or minimizing the UI window when in game?
Some of this things are problems that occur by other soo (like the low FPS or sound consuming 100% CPU). There is a warning for too many hedgehogs on a map. You put too many, you can't start the game. Besides I've never encountered someone who doesn't count the number of hedgehogs when creating a game. It's a good brain-fitness. Default team along with default schemes cannot be removed for now and frankly I don't see why... About the hats on hedgehogs in UI-buttons - whut's the point?
HTML = How To Meet the Ladies
Here is my Unofficial Manual for HW. Hope you like it. Still working on it. Don't worry. Will get it finished...Sometime in the future.
Regarding hats: He's missing those soldier helmets seen on some buttons as wearable hats ingame ... Tiy?
