Where to set Proxy Settings?

I connect to the internet via a proxy. Where can I input my proxy settings to connect to the official server via proxy? I'm on Linux if that matters.

I use desproxy on windows... download it and create a script that looks something like this:
For the bash script just remove "start /min", change the directories etc.
Thanks, but now how do I point Hedgewars to use Desproxy? I tried messing around in the hedgewars.ini file, but to no avail.
"[net]
nick=Jaakhaamer
ip=127.0.0.1
port=41263
servername=hedgewars official
serverport=41263"
I set up Desproxy to use port 41263. When pointing my browser to "127.0.0.1:41263" I get lots of activity from Desproxy and the browser eventually loads a page saying:
"CONNECTED
Hedgewars server http://www.hedgewars.org/
PING
BYE
Ping timeout"
Desproxy picks up absolutely no activity when I run Hedgewars with this configuration. So I'm very sure that my changes in the hedgewars.ini file aren't being honoured.
Sorry DP.
In-game, you have to choose the "network game" option, rather than "official server".
In hedgewars.ini, you might want to set serverport back to 46631. This option is only used when connecting directly
So there is no way to play on the official through a proxy?
How does another person join my game via the internet once I have created a server on "LAN Game"?
Not without a proxy tunnel. That's where desproxy comes in.
You don't create a server... go to network game, choose "specify", enter "localhost" and "41263" in the box, with desproxy running, and tell us if it works.
Ohhh, thanks! I get it now.
I'm in. Thanks a lot for all your help.
Hey,
I have the same problem.
I have Ubuntu, a proxy and can not connect to the official server.
Can you help ?
I already downloaded desproxy, but what to do next ?
Thanks
