0.9.13 server on Windows 7

I've created a room with Hedgewars 0.9.13 on Windows 7, but cannot connect to it:
- from my Gentoo PC (same version), Windows Firewall on (everything allowed for hedgewars and hegewars-server), getting "connection timeout" error
- from my Gentoo PC, Windows Firewall off, getting "connection refused" error
- from the same Windows PC to 127.0.0.1, another Hedgewars app - getting "connection refused" error as well
netstat shows there's a local connection ESTABLISHED to 46631 port from ::1 to ::1, but no LISTENING line for this port
So I think the hedgewars server is at fault in some way
The server list is visible from the Gentoo machine.
You're using the official server or running a local server?
A local server, of course (LAN game)
hello, the lan server don't work properly on seven, we have to create the server on xp or other for playing on lan
I've been having the same issue here as well, trying to host on a Win 7 x64 computer. I've been trying for several hours trying to get it to work. It just keeps timing out whenever I try to connect to it.
Works perfectly if I host on my XP x86 laptop though.
I'm using the built-in Windows Firewall, with everything allowed for both hedgewars.exe and hedgewars-server.exe.
Is there anybody who has already successfully hosted a LAN-Game on a Windows7 PC?
Might work in an Ubuntu or windows XP VM
Sorry. No useful suggestions. Perhaps someday someone will inflict me w/ a copy of Windows 7 and I'll put it in a VM and try it.
No idea right now though.

Just connect using the IP - should always work (or just use the official server).
