I don't know about the current progress of the iPhone version, but if you manage to assemble a stable release in the next couple of months (deadline is September 30th 2010; the earlier, the better) you can participate the Palm PDK Hot Apps programm. The only thing you need to do is port the iPhone App to WebOS wich appears to be really easy. There are cash prizes up to 100.000$ for the most downloaded APPs (there's not much competition). http://developer.palm.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2085 Just wanted to let you know, dr fnord

Interesting - and surely money that could be needed for enabling further development and ports. Thanks for the heads-up Smile

Sorry about the delayed answer: I had a look at that page some time ago and seems like your apps have to be written using HTML and JavaScript only - so nothing for Hedgewars right now. (Also deadline is 30th September, but counting started 15th July!)

Agreed. An HTML/javascript port would be neat, and in theory doable, just would require a large amount of work for the port. A basic player for the protocol is in the preliminary stages, and that might grow into something more, but that's a long way out. I agree it'd be cool to be able to play hedgewars on web/webos.

[/quote] For clarification: With WebOS 1.3.5 (released early 2010) Palm introduced the Plugin Developement Kit (PDK) allowing the creation of apps using C/C++ http://developer.palm.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1989&Itemid=20 Gameloft for instance took the opportunity and ported many of their iPhone games to WebOS. http://www.gameloft.com/download-games/palm-games/ I understand that Sept. 30th might be an impossible deadline (especially when it's about getting as many downloads as possible until that day). just do me a favor and don't forget about WebOS once the iPhone version is finished. p.s. one more thing...
