It would be great if you could easy save your teams, ammo schemes, maps etc. to a USB storage. Its annoying that you always have to create a new team when playing somewhere else. I think this is not hard to implement since these settings are already stored to files.

TNA, why not just copy your .hedgewars directory to USB, and either copy it back over remotely, or point the remote hedgewars at the USB device?

Something similar to that is done for the portable hedgewars build.

I have no idea where to put my .hedgewars on a Mac or a Windows PC. That should be much easyer. Furthermore I dont want to export all my setting but just some.

I support this idea. Copying the whole directory or just some files does not work, because some settings (like all weapon sets) are in one single file which has to be split by hand. Also, it is way to uncomfortable.

Teams are in separate files and can be copied individually (what he asked originally).

And don't see what a big deal copying a directory is.

If you find it inconvenient though, just run portable hedgewars, and always have it with you.

Weapon sets would be nice too. I don't only ask for me, I think this would be a good feature for other players which may have less computer knowledge.

I don't know where to put the directory on Mac OS and Windows so it is not trivial. Even if it were documented for users, I think inexperienced users won't get it.

Portable hedgewars sound interesting. Where do I get it? Does it run on Linux 64 bit, Linux 32 bit, Mac OS and Windows?

The point is, that doesn't solve my problem completely. Everybody who plays hedgewars on their own PC would have their "own Version" with their own teams they like to play with.

*shrug* Not really clear what the heck your point was in that last sentence but anyway, just offering solutions.
If you want more than that, feel free to write a patch.

As for how to find it in Windows, assuming you didn't override it to some other location:
%HOMEPATH%/.hedgewars

Thank you for your help, but I thougt this Forum is about Suggestions. If I could implement that on my own, I would not ask. Unfortunately I have no experience with Pascal.

Yep, but, sounded like you were describing an actual obstacle, so I was offering workarounds.

If this is about making things marginally more convenient, not really high up the priority list.

Thus the "write a patch"

Perhaps someone else will feel differently, but that's my take.

If usability isn't high up the priority list, what else? Copying files around surely is a workaround, but only if the settings are in separate files, and they aren't for weapon sets and schemes. Yet, a nice frontend for managing settings, own maps etc. would be really nice for the future and isn't too hard to implement.

This is only a *minor* usability issue.

There are far more serious ones. As well as actual features still lacking. Since this minor issue bugs you so much though, feel free to figure out how to fix it...

If your Hedgewars installation is in a writeable directory (e.g. on a USB stick) just launch the game using a shortcut/link using the following command line:

"C:\path\to\hw\bin\hedgewars.exe" --config-dir=..\config

Using above path as an example this would save all configuration files to "C:\path\to\hw\config\".

If everybody is going to be registered on hedgewars.org for online-gaming (is this your plan?), it would be great to upload your specific teams on a server and download them whenever you want.
