Hello,
I'm asking to introduce a way to customize weapons parameters.

First of all, there are two parameters that (I think) are really useful: grenades bounce and sub-particles scattering.
The latter is used with weapons grenades (e.g. watermelons) to specify that initial explosion can be less or more powerful. This is about range, not about damage.

These two parameters shall be made available in-game, of course, because they are part of the user strategy, and combine with timing to provide a better shot.

In addition, but as a different and more complicated feature, when one is editing the weapon set, additional parameters can be made available for editing. In detail: weapon max damage, weapon explosion radius, sub-particles default scattering.

What do you think?

If you mean "tweaks" as "improvements" or "modification", yes, of course. I wouldn't suggest a feature if I don't think it's an improvement Smile

If you are quoting "tweaks" to mean "cheats", then no. I'm talking about weapon strategies.

Tiy can express his own opinion on it more elequently, but while it would certainly be possible to parameterise pretty much every aspect of the game, Tiy is rather opposed to it.

His opinion, I believe, is that similar to the consistent graphical appearance, there should be a set of core expectations about how certain things work in the game, and that a flood of configurations makes the game less playable.

In terms of variety of ways to play it, Hedgewars is pretty darn configurable.

More extreme configuration can be done in the Lua scripts, for specific scripted maps...

If every match had a custom grenade bounce then it would be harder to anticipate how much the grenade will bounce when you are playing in a setting that you are not accustomed to (and similarly for other weapon parameters). You sometimes maybe don't even notice at the start that the settings are customized when it's a match that you were not the one who set it up. This might give advantages to the one who customized and prepared the match suiting his needs.

Better have consistency and use the same weapon parameters for every match so everyone knows what to expect and can grow muscle memory and dexterity under fixed parameters.

That is not true. He is talking about ways to change the parameters in-game, so the default parameters will always stay, but you can change them like the timer of a grenade. In Worms Armageddon you could press + and - to make the grenade bounce more or less. I actually liked this option, because it made your strategy more interesting.
