0.9.14 Bad "Place Hedgehogs" Mode

Hi everyone!
I have just created this account, but I'm a Hedgewars player since September.
I'm very happy to be able to play the new awesome version of the game. However the "Place Hedgehogs" Mode in "Game Modes" isn't working properly: you should place your hedgehog and not having the Teleport tool! In the new version instead of the possibility of place your hogs, you are given infinte Teleport tools!
Is this a bug? How can I correct this?

Hi! Thank you very much for your reply!
I'm really looking forward to play with the new version but at the moment this bug is forcing me not to play with my favorite custom game scheme ("Aerial").... So I'll remain with the good old 0.9.13 for the moment....
Is there a real possibility that the bugfix release will be released in a few days? Because I really want to start playing with the new release!

I wrote that message before the bugfix release was released... Now I'm very happy to see that this "new" version has been released.
Thank you very much for releasing this release so soon and congratulations for your great work on Hedgewars, which becomes more and more awesome every main release.

However, even the bugfix release has got the bug! I mean, it has been corrected but not in a good way....
Actually you can place your hedgehogs just like in 0.9.13 (that's the good bugfix) , but you are always given the infinite teleport utility (that's the bad bugfix) and that's (in my opinion) not good at all, because it's forcing me not to play with this release again! In my "Aerial" mode, you have to place your hogs and never teleport them again, so this bug is very disappointing for me...
Actually I'll [ Sad Smiley ] remain with the old release until the bug is fixed.... Is there a way to correct this? Maybe a 0.9.14.2 bugfix release (that's because I consider it a major bug)?

Sorry Chip. You're right the infinite teleports behaviour is back (it used to just be rare with 0.9.13).

Unfortunately, it'll just have to get fixed in 0.9.15 - it isn't a large enough a bug to justify a new release.

I'll have either to rethink my Aerial mode... or remain alone with the old release... sigh Sad Smiley

Edit: I thought about that and I found that Aerial mode can be rethought completely to be more compatible with 0.9.14 and even funnier. Big Grin
After all I can consider this as a feature and not a bug. So I’ll edit the custom mode in the following way:
-Casual positions for hogs (the battle will become surely funnier than before)
-No more 2 hogs x team… Instead there’ll be 3 or 4 hogs x team
-After 8 turn the Piano Strike will be available.

Also remaining with the old version is a complete non-sense… So I’ll really enjoy the new version with the new, even funnier, Aerial mode. Big Grin

Hopefully the new release won't be too far away.

If this helps at all, in 0.9.14.1 infinite teleports *are* cleared after each hog has finished his first turn if reset weapons is enabled (that's the flag Clean Slate uses).

However I'm not able to compile Hedgewars under Windows (or MAC OSX/Unix)...
No matter! I'll try your suggested method tomorrow... (Thank you very much for this!) and I'll rethink Aerial to make it even funnier than it was before...

No prob. Yeah, compiling under windows is a pain. I suggest setting up an ubuntu dual boot if you want to test dev code.
As for the workaround above, it may not work for you due to the whole "reset" aspect, but yeah, to eliminate teleports you'd just set 'em to 0 in the weaponset.

However I found another way of editing Aerial and make it compatible with 0.9.14.
