Making a map in Inkscape

I've been looking to make maps in Inkscape or whatever and i would like to know how i go about doing that? Thanks!

There are plenty of tutorials on Inkscape about the web if you need to know how to use it. Its pretty simple though really.
Style is spelled style not stile.
