Good day!
I downloaded yesterday Hedgewars 0.9.15 from download site:
http://hedgewars.org/download.html
and I have a problem with random maps generator. If I click on the preview map to generate the new one, application is terminated without any notification. Sometimes is it possible to generate one or two new maps (1-2 click on the map preview) but if I want to generate next one application exits. What is more often preview area is totally black... Administrator mode neither compability mode to "Windows XP Sp3" does not help.

The game itself working all right, hand drawing maps and ready-made maps are ok, just generator does not work proper.

My specification (laptop) is as follows:
- Windows 7 Professional 32b SP1
- Intel Core Duo T2050 1.6 Ghz
- RAM: 3.0 GB
- Graphics card: Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family

I also tried tower PC:
- Windows 7 Professional 32b SP1
- AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ 2.1 GHz
- RAM: 2.0 GB
- Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-MA69G-S3H
- Graphics card: GeForce 9600 GT GS 512 MB

Thanks in advance.
P.s.
I already visited post: Game does not start (win 7, 32 bit) - lachdanan. I found file "preview0.log" and its content is as follows (almost the same like in lachdanan's post):
0: [Con] Init SDL_Net...
0: [Con] ok
0: [Con] Establishing IPC connection...
0: [Con] ok
0: [Cmd] /seed (38)
0: [Cmd] $template_filter (1)
0: [Cmd] $mapgen (1)
0: Ping? Pong!
0: [Con] Generating preview...
0: [Con] Selected template #0 using filter #0
0: [Con] Sending preview...
0: [Con] Preview sent, disconnect
halt at 0 ticks. TurnTimeLeft = 0

I hope it is useful.

Try w/ comodo uninstalled.
You can try the instructions here:
http://code.google.com/p/hedgewars/wiki/ComodoFirewall

but no guarantee it will work.

Thank You very much for help. I will try it tommorow. Greetings...

Ok, I tried follow the instructions, but nothing changes: problem still exists. Sad Smiley
What is more, I exited the Comodo and killed two tasks according to Comodo: cmdagent.exe and cfp.exe
After that, the generator works, so I can click the preview map to generate new map, but the preview is still black. Unfortunately the game cannot start, when I click play, everything is gone except background and small sentence: "In game..." I was waiting for few minutes, game did not start.

So more help needed... Smile
But thank you nemo for some hints.

Get rid of Comodo and use a router with firewall?
Sounds like a good solution for external attacks for any average user.

Well, sure. There's really nothing for us to fix.
The only thing I think that might fix it would be moving the engine into the frontend. I suspect Comodo is screwing up the communication between the two, as it embeds itself in the network code.
