i thought i'd share some of the things i've been working on for anyone wants to try them out.

a day variation of the snow theme

link http://www.mediafire.com/?45ssm2x74j24s61

a new tree for the nature theme

link http://www.mediafire.com/?xx1hpt7a754dww8
so i tried to use the shading style and colours from hammock while not changing too much from what was on the original tree. anyway, i'm happier with this version.

wind bar, progress image, ubuntu font and digits

i gave the wind bar a flat look to match the rest of the bars and boxes. i changed to the ubuntu font. i think it's cartoony style matches the game well. renamed to DejaVuSans so you can try it out. made some digits to match. fixed some pixels on the loading image. i wanted to redraw it from scratch but couldn't find the motivation.. oh well.
all packaged in one zip file for my convenience Smile

*make sure you back up your themes so you can change them back

Instead of the backing up thing, why not give the themes a different name and tell people to install under their local hedgewars Data dir? Smile

Day time in snow theme is so much better! Big Grin I like the tree, but it doesn't fit with the rest of the shading in the theme :l, so the original one should stay

EDIT: I called the new snow theme "Ice"

glad you guys liked the changes i made to the snow theme.

thanks for the tip nemo, i'll change it.

yeah the tree doesn't quite fit with the other trees in the theme, but i liked it the best out of the ones i'd done. i had actually made a few different styles for the tree, so i might upload some of them in a bit.

thanks for the feedback!

I don't know how I missed this thread before... I like your changes! You should try making your own theme from scratch too. Wink Smiley

I was bored, so I created a new animation for the ammo crate.
Question mark is the same, I just changed the part where it does the little hop:

Made alternate graphics too.

"Bath" is very bright and has a low contrast in comparison to the background.
Second reason why this theme is (a bit) unpopular, all toothbrushes aren't passable. So i changed some details in that theme...

Second theme i made alternate graphics for ist "Jungle"

Passability isn't a huge theme priority. Most themes have some form of impassable object from one or both sides. Actually the ones on the Bath theme are relatively easy to get past w/ a single shotgun blast.

Contrast change could be useful. If you stuck to that one *carefully* it can even be done while remaining compatible w/ release theme.

I think the background in the jungle theme should be changed completely into a canopy.

I hate Bath for both its impassibility, and for its horribly bright objects. It's just plain ugly, IMO.
