Windows Development Build for testing
So back when I was unable to build\compile Hedgewars for Windows, I always wished for a way to test out some of the newest changes, still being worked on, that will be available on the next version.
Now that I'm able to do so, I'm giving all other Windows users the chance to join in the bug hunting too!
However, please note that...
- these are meant for testing and bug hunting purposes ONLY
- do NOT create any new threads if you have any doubts regarding this build, just post the question bellow
- this is a clean build, it includes no extra personal changes
- you're choosing trying it at your own risk
- crashes and desynch's are more or less to be expected and SHOULD be reported
- you can join everyone, including the devs to discuss bug finds on IRC
- you can check the current issue\bug list here.
- this build will be updated whenever it's possible, don't expect it to be updated after every single change
Now have fun hunting for bugs!
(Think this testing build also made shoppa buggy again behave more like it did in .17, so you shoppa players might be some of the main interested in trying these latest changes and report your finds to the devs through IRC) if there are still some major problems.
[Hedgewars e422cbf9aa33] 2013-02-18 development build (for testing)!
I cannot stress enough that this version is JUST FOR TESTING, it's NOT a release, it's a preview of a WORK IN PROGRESS just so people are able to find bugs and other issues.
You will NOT be able to enjoy online play with all the other players! For that you need the official release that can be downloaded from here.

The "alpha" version of the game is now on the main page!
These builds will return when 0.9.19 is out!
So go test that version instead in the meanwhile.

Happy to help shadowzero78.
In the meanwhile nemo changed my topic to make it easier to understand what the content of this thread is all about, and I modified the description quite a bit as well.
All of this because a user didn't bother to read, and just created a completely useless new thread that might bring unecessay confusion to other users, the main thing I was trying to avoid.
Thanks Inu! Keep this up 'till I bug Xeli enough times to continue doing the nightly builds.
thanks for helping out with the testing, it's one of the most crucial aspect we need to tune up
Xeli hasn't been around much lately.
He's likely busy with personal or professional things.
I've been wanting to try his latest Android build as well, now that I have a good android device.
Glad to help, even if it's not much.
