Bug: Rope when jumping
Thu, 2008-05-22 20:13
Hello
Since the new version 0.9.3, jumping with 2x backspace results in jumping backwards. That's okay...
Some might not know it yet, but when jumping somewhere down, it is still possible to throw ropes... That's okay too and indeed adds tactical functionality.
But lets for example say you're standing on a rock and to your right it goes down to the water. Now you stand on the edge and jump up 2x with backspace (which makes you go back a little). When now falling down and you try to shoot a rope, it shoots to the right, even if you were originally turned left...
It might be that this is a wanted reaction, but in my opinion, this shouldn't be.
Best regards

It's a bug, and it's already fixed in svn
Hello there
The hedgehog now just visually turns. What I meant was the following... Pictures tell more than 1000 words
The colored rope is where it is really shot and the greyed out one is where it should accordingly to my thought.
Sure, it is required to set the angle before jumping. But this way it would be possible to jump down and grab a point with rope.
This would be logic if the hedgehog jumps backwards, and it always throws rope forward...
Hope you got what I meant :o)
Best regards...
Again, it's already fixed in SVN
Then you must have been changing it again. Because yesterday I downloaded the src, compiled and the error was still there...
Will try again soon. Thanks
I double checked that no regression happened
