is it possible to disable opengl?

Hello. I have been playing your game now for a while. It is really fun, an I appreciate all your hard work.
I do have a concern though. In this latest release you now use OpenGL for your graphics. It is unfortunate, but none of the computers I own can play the new version of the game at higher than 4 FPS. The previous versions worked just fine. Is there a way to build the game to not use OpenGL so that I can still play?
Thanks!
No, there's no such way. It is very strange that previous version worked at good speed while new one cannot in the same environment. Anyway, previous rendering engine and new graphics would give even worse result due to actively used alpha-blending.
You must change your hardware necessarily :P
I had the same problem when I had not installed properly my graphic drivers. Are you sure you can't install any proper driver?

It turns out you were exactly right. When I reinstalled the graphics driver and configured it correctly, the new version of the game works perfectly. Thanks for the hint!
Good

One thing you may to add to the readme & as a sticky on the support forum. If anyone is using an Intel onboard graphics chip, the drivers are horrible. You will have low frame rates unless you have the colors set to 32-Bit. Anything below 32-bit gives like 2-10 FPS for some reason. I found this out quite by accident a few years ago.
