Using gamepad with key combinations
Hello,
my friends and I are frequently playing worms on PC with an PS2 emulator and a gamepad. Since the graphics is not very beautiful there, I installed hedgewars on my Windows 7 PC. However it is quite uncomfortable to hand around the keyboard and mouse so I also tried to use the gamepad. Almost everything works fine except the selection of the weapons.
My idea to solve this was to not only use the different keys alone for an action but to define something like a switching key. In practice I want to move the hedgehogs by using the analog stick and move the mouse by using the combination of holding a special button when moving the analog stick.
So my questions are:
1. Is it possible to do this in hedgewars, maybe by editing some configuration files?
2. If not, is it possible to use an external program that is "between" hedgewars and the controller? Is such a program available?

There are programs that emulate keyboard/mouse input with gamepad. I don't know any particular one, but you can google "gamepad keyboard mapper" or something similar and look for one that fits you.

Yes, when you are making a team and using it, plug a gamepad to your computer. Once you done that, go to your team, then on top of screen, you should see 2 categories, choose the 2nd. Over there, you should see keybinds. Choose whatever keybind and from dropdown list you should see on most bottom gamepad binds.
In my case, im using a XBOX360 wired pad, profile #1. You can check out my team on pastebin here: http://pastebin.com/DVKGfSEv
If you want to use this team, open up notepad, paste that thing i've given you and save it as "XBOX360 Shenanigans.hwt" without quotes and make sure that you choose all files (*). Once you done that, go to:
- Windows: Documents/Hedgewars
- Linux: ~/.hedgewars
- Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/Hedgewars
Now go to folder Teams, and paste that there. Also, theres one of my graves chosen there, you should change that. But in game pls.2. If not, is it possible to use an external program that is "between" hedgewars and the controller? Is such a program available?
