I think an option for players to look at the game and weapon schemes in online multiplayer would be really helpful to see what you're getting into. Wink Smiley While you could infer most of the game scheme settings from the [Esc] menu in-game, the devil lies in the details. I.e. you don't know the health crate proability until you collect a health crate. Weapon probabilities are very hard to guess, so are crate contents (how much of each weapon). For room visitors, I suggest this: Instead of the disabled "edit" button players see an "eye" button which is clickable. When they click the button, they can view at the game scheme and weapon scheme settings (but not edit them, or add new ones; maybe just gray out or hide the “new”/"remove” (etc.) buttons). By the way: If this were possible, it could become a real problem that the room owner can force-start a game, because a player could be still looking at the schemes and then suddenly the game starts! A player could still delay the start by not adding a team, but this is more like a workaround for now.

Nice additional ideas, MK. Yeah, some very rough preview would certainly be cool, I think this would also make sense in the room to show the most important settings (like turn time). I'm not sure if it's a good idea in in-game, I think the textual description was better, especially because it is easy to extend/change. I don't think the starter weapons should be shown in-game, it's kinda redundant (and would probably fill the screen if complete).
I think the textual description was better
Players entering the game often do not even reading the room name and text previews they too will not be read. icons better. Wink Smiley

Their fault, let them lose, then. :P While icons are certainly easier on the eyes, they are not really easy to extend (you'd have to new icons for every new thing). Also, many, many scripts use custom textual descriptions (i.e. Highlander), so they would have to go to the waste either. I say removing the textual in-game descriptions in favor of icons is simply not practical at this moment, unless some bigger changes are made.
