Me and TafuSeler have made 2 new weapons and would like to receive some feedback. We tried PM'ing the admins but they didn't reply, so we decided to post it here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QK3mBvln9X0
Cool. It's really nice to see someone working on new weapons and stuff.
I think the old slipper is really overpowered, there are so many poisonous clouds and it only takes one touch to poison a hog. On the other hand, this can always be compensated by making it super rare.
I think the magical donut is really weird. I don't know what to think about it.
And maybe some custom collision sounds would help for both weapons.
Did you use version control? If so, I suggest you commit the changes and publish them somewhere, so people can actually try it out.

Lua implemented variants is a no-brainer ofc, can toss on DLC np.

We are thinking of making more weapons (we hope they'll be less "weird") and also adding insane customization of every game aspect (especially weapons, see: worms2; also things like "disable fall damage" - it can't be disabled without lua, yeah?), but that's more of a long-term plan than a simple change. Would you be interested?
Also, I have got a problem with making a Windows build. I tried to follow this tutorial: https://code.google.com/p/hedgewars/wiki/BuildingOnWindows , but the link to Qt SDK doesn't work anymore.
Yup, kinda same here. I had a look at it, then kinda got side-tracked.
I do like the comedic style/theme of the weapons.
However the weapons' mechanics seem very overpowered, and not really in an intriguing way either, tbh.

Personally I don't insist to add these weapons, it's always possible to modify and rebalance them if they're unbalanced or even make something totally different.
And about the SDK, I'll check it later/tomorrow.
These weapons are just prototypes, there were other versions:

* Magic Donut v1 - does 1 self-damage, does not explode. Teleports you to where it lands.
* Magic Donut v2 - Same as v1 except it deals more damage and explodes.
* Old Slipper v1 - Poisons only when it lands, but when it does, it sprays poison in a circle.
* Old Slipper v2 - Does not explode, poisons everything from the start.

Of course, we have many more weapon ideas and hopefully they are less overpowered. A few examples:

* Shooting Star - A single star (moderately slowly) falls from the sky, destroying every piece of terrain in it's way. Does 15 impact damage and 6 more for every second longer it took to hit a hog. Falls diagonally.
* Building Blocks - Works like a piano strike, except you drop teamcolored building blocks from the sky. They turn into actual terrain pieces once they touch the ground, working defensively. You can place 8 of them in one turn. Your team can't destroy your own blocks. It's like a girder, except you can spread it around.
* Magical Table - Press space to place a table. Everybody standing on the table gets healed for 15 HP every turn and takes 50% less damage. The table can be destroyed and is very flammable.
