So, long ago I flagged bouncing on rubber to be linked to "gears-that-typically-bounce-in-a-semi-realistic-way"
This was handy in the case of crates in particular, which overlap w/ barrels.
It might be appropriate to change this flagging for barrels though. Could check to see what the results would be. For one thing, barrels don't drop out of the sky like crates, so making them use the more "normal" bouncing might be appropriate.
If you want to test it, SetGearValues of AdvBounce to 1 in onGearAdd would do the trick in lua.

Yeah, I reckon if we can bat them and they can even bounce off walls, they should probably be able to bounce off the ol' acme rubber band.
