Whenever I click the lower volume button it sounds like it creates a screenshot. Is this true? And if so, how can I turn down the volume without making a screenshot???

Rebind e.g. your screenshot key to something other than default ( C key).
I know that problem first-hand btw. It might be due to some keycode mixup in our key detection SDL code.
