I'm not sure if you speak about iOS or Android here, but I can answer for iOS.

Hopefully, the new version on iOS side (2.1) can be released after Hedgewars 0.9.23. The question is how fast

Currently, iOS build is broken (I suspect last changes in PhysFs) and also another changes degrade slightly playability (like, missions path changes doesn't accounted). So, some work to be done.

Unfortunately, I do not have many free time to handle all of this currently. But I'll try to do it before end of summer

Because my friend want to play Hedgewars last year but ended in disaster of being aborted by him, because some buggy issues for mobile Hedgewars, then he altered to check Worms games =[ To be precise, he using Android

Why?
Well, Hedgewars popularity 'also' rely on it (yea, ya know, Mobile Dominate over computer (its mobile!)). With Mobile Platform, there are a big potential of success to get more player which lead to bigger chance to get an active user, with more active user Hedgewars will have bigger speed in advancement and will improve better than before (all in probabilities). But I only talking about it, when Hedgewars in Mobile platform are success and have no issues (I mean few and small issues, I'm sorry D;!)

I believe you is someone that have contributed many things before I born here and become a childish user (lol). But I also have a strong feeling that you're one among The Devs council (wut?), idk =| At least for my guess, that you're a Big User for Hedgewars

One more thing:
I hope there somebody 'can and want' to give you a hand . Because if you're working on it, that you're accepting a heavy burden like trying to take a freaking ring to Mordor, but one does not simply go to Mordor alone =]. Yes! I really hope there will be another person that will pop out from nowhere and take action to this

Seems building the new version with android does cause a lot new issues for compatibility.
