Flatpak distribution

A distribution-agnostic flatpak version might be a good download option for Linux users. Most distros support flatpak these days, and distribution is easy through Flathub.org.
This would also enable users of RHEL and other enterprise distributions without native downloads to enhance their productivity with Hedgewars!
Go for it I guess. I'm not a personal fan of flatpak (to put it mildly) as a general concept, and there *is* an RPM hedgewars package but...

The latest RPM for RHEL/CentOS is a 0.9.22 in somebody's Copr. I have tried to build one in my own Copr, but failed. I suppose one day I'll learn to build flatpaks. Meanwhile, the old version is certainly better than no Hedgewars at all!
Yeah, that's unfortunate since old version can't play with latest.
Did you try the Fedora 27 package by any chance? I realise it was released several years after redhat 7 but...
Also. We do have our linux build instructions which, while debian focused, are probably fairly similar package names on redhat.
Not to mention the build deps are hopefully listed in the source rpm.

Turns out building the latest Hedgewars from source is pretty painless, so I did just that. Thanks!
I don't understand why there is a need for Flatpak, since we are already having packages on all major GNU/Linux distributions. Outdated distro packages are a good argument, but I thought all distributions were already up-to-date. Whoops.
But if someone wants to do flatpak, ok. But I fear you are on your own then (but you seem to have figured that out already).
Hi, I am a Hedgewars developer.
Sorry to necro-bump an old thread. Just popped by to mention that Hedgewars is now available on Flathub. <3
