Flamethrower overhaul

hello, i thought that would be good for the game to add a little buff to the flamethrower since is not so powerful, in the current state if you press the arrow in the direction you are facing while firing you increase the power, so why not adding the option to decrease the power while firing pressing the arrow in the opposite direction you are facing? i m not saying to allow decreasing the power of flamethrower even lower than the starting power, i mean adding an option to decrease the power after having increased it with the current option. Ofc after decreasing you could be able to increase again and so on.

This is a strange request. Because decreasing the power is already possible, at any time. I just tested it in 1.0.0, and it works just fine for me. Strange.

So this sounds like a bug report. Are you sure you got that one right?

Oh, sorry, I think you are right, i never noticed that you can actually decrease the power since it has so little fuel that you cant fire it with full power and then decrease it cause it run out of fuel too quick. Maybe it needs to have more of fuel. idk

thing that really needs to fixing is a blowtorch. victim just falls through the attacking hedgehog

Blowtorch has been played with so often over years. issue, I think, of hogs bouncing off things oddly in tight tunnels. We could possibly fix it by, instead of kicking the hogs normally, kick then with a bias in a direction oriented along the blowtorch's erasure path. Then they'd be going where stuff is clear and the behaviour might be more intuitive.

Yeah, it's exactly that sort of thing I was thinking of. Blowtorching up does it far more often. Down/horizontal is more reliable, although still takes a certain familiarity.
alfadur was suggesting adding back in his kicking a moving hog code with blowtorch that he'd pulled out before. Using existing code I was thinking of playing with moving the kick code into the erasure section to ensure they happen at same time, and adjusting the kick angle to bias upwards a bit more to compensate for gravity.
But would have to play with it. You wanna give it a try?
