Floating point exception
I couldn't run hedgewars on my Gentoo. It says: "floating point exception". I have no idea what the reason is and how to fix this.
I've tried both 0.9.12 0.9.13 versions of hedgewars
gcc-4.4.3
glibc-2.11
emerge --update world also didn't help.
0.9.13 Kubuntu 10.04 Beta 2 Game stops while starting Engine
Ok so to not mess up the other thread, i start a new one:
hedgewars crashes after loading screen right before entering actual game
(k)ubuntu 10.04 beta 2
hedgewars 0.9.13 from source & getdeb repo (tried both)
ATI Radeon HD 3600 Series with radeon driver
so here are some terminal error messages:
starting fresh compiled game:
ufftata@localhost:~$ hedgewars
ALSA lib pcm.c:7245:(snd_pcm_recover) underrun occured
without music & sounds ingame:
QInotifyFileSystemWatcherEngine::addPaths: inotify_add_watch failed: No such file or directory
QFileSystemWatcher: failed to add paths: /home/ufftata/.config/ibus/bus
Bus::open: Can not get ibus-daemon's address.
IBusInputContext::createInputContext: no connection to ibus-daemon
low quality didn't fix the crash either.
Using Weapons In Jet Pack Mode?
So, while using the grappling hook or rope, one could select dynamite or something and press return to use it. When i try this with the Jetpack, it doesn't work, it seems to be stuck on the rocket launcher nor does it ever shoot a rocket when i press enter. Any ideas?
Can't start game
When I click on singleplayer game, the big window opens (the main one reads "In game..."). In big window, there's hedge's head, then eyes are added, then foots. After that, big window instantly closes, and I have only main window with single/multi/education choices.
The same happens when I'm trying to start multiplayer game.
I tried to see some log information, and re-ran hedgewars from command line. The same happened, and there was no output at all.
Platform: GNU/Linux Fedora 12 PowerPC
Game version: 0.9.11
Hedgewars runs super slow on Win7 occasionally
Sometimes when I load up Hedgewars the game runs at less then 1FPS, it gets to the point where two people can finish their turns before I notice the first person even has a free turn.
This happens both in single and multiplayer. It's not my hardware because I run more intensive games just fine.
Looking into the problem a bit more I found out that the "System" process (task manager -> show processes from all users -> sort by name -> System (NT Kernal & System) ) ends up using around 40-50% of my CPU when Hedgewars is running slow. If I restart my computer it fixes the problem and the "System" process now uses only 2-4% CPU when playing Hedgewars, and the game runs fine. "System" only uses this much CPU when playing Hedgewars and never the first time after a restart (so far) and also only happens after I wake my computer up from Sleeping (but not always).
There may be a bug in the Windows code that is causing this to happen, or it may be local. If anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it.
