It seems that there isn't any release of HW 1.0 for Ubuntu 18 LTS (supported by canonical until 2023)

... doesn't work for "Bionic" and there's no .deb in this page : https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hedgewars

That seems surprising, since HW 1.0 is the first version that the development team wanted to "share with a wider audience".

Is there a solution to install hedgewars without updating my (old) laptop?

when i try to play online I can join a room without problems but can't play because there is no team to choose in the player selection. It makes no difference if i have a account or make my own team - There is no team in the selection.

I play on Win10 and can play offline without problems. I tried to deactivate the firewall and my Anti Virus programm (BitDefender) but nothing worked. I also reinstalled the game two times.

Do you have an idea what the problem could be?

I want to review my long log which made with WriteLnToChat (Or HogSay). Outputting it to an external log file would be the best solution, because there's so many of them. But I can't, still is, just like what I remembered.

I've asked about better logging and debugging before, but I don't know whether that is already been done or not while I was in my deep slumber. It is already been heard by the devs, though, iirc. So I would like to see that yes, it improved on 1.0.0 or so updates - or something similarly good.

I have an XBOX One controller. Hedgewars does detect it and it does acknowledge that it is an XInput controller. However, in the settings menu for controlls the buttons of it are labelled not like on the controller, like for example "A", "B", "left trigger", "left analog stick up" etc., but as for example "Button 1", "Button 2", "Axis 6 Down" etc. Do I need to figure out which button is which myself or is there a "dictionary" available?
Also, I would appreciate being able to just simply press the button to set it and not being forced to scroll through the drop-down list.
