New to Hedgewars?
The point of this thread is simply to let players know some of the most striking differences between Hedgewars and the most popular game of this genre.
(updated when possible, I've been having quite the chaotic weeks and wrote this during a break)

Weapons unique to Hedgewars:
(please correct me if I'm wrong and note that W:Reloaded was release AFTER Hedgewars)
Homing Bee
Ballgun
Sniper Rifle
Portable Portal Device
Piano Strike
Sticky Mines
Cake
Old Limburger (cheese)
Hammer
Vampirism
Birdy
Sine Gun
Portal Gun (actually a tribute to Valve's Portal games)

Facts and Features:
The way gravity affects weaponry is diferent.
Internet game lobby.
Free for Windows, Mac OSX, Linux, Android and only $0.99 on the iPad and iPhone!
Multiplatform, but everyone plays together!
More modes.
Way more customization options.
You can zoom in and out.
Around every 6 months a new big update is released with a lot more content and bug fixes.

Notes and curiosities:
Hedgewars was built from scratch and as it never meant in any way to be a "clone" (like people like to call it without knowing what it is) of the W*rms game. It's simply inspired on it.
"Team 17" does not own the game genera or can own any game genera for that matter. Imagine if [id Software] who came up with Wolfenstein 3D many years ago owned the FPS genera! You'd still be playing Quake, Doom and Wolfenstein. No Unreal Tournament, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, Halo or other similar games would ever be able to appear on the market.
Many weapons are very similar to W*rms due to constant user\players requests.
