Battalion
Battalion is a style which adds a variety of new gameplay modes that can be enabled.
Normal mode
Introduction
On game start, a group of 8 hedgehogs will be randomly selected from 12 variants.
Then all hogs in teams will be replaced by this group.
All hog variants have their specific name, weapons, helpers (mostly utilities), health and settings.
Gameplay
Before every turn, your hog will get random weapons and helpers.
Use them to destroy the enemy team. You have 25 seconds for each turn.
If hogs have below 25% of their hitpoints, they receive a bonus weapon (Kamikaze).
Goal
Destroy the enemy teams by using the hog's weapons and helpers in an excellent way.
They are limited, so use the enemy turn to plan yours!
Crates:
Utility: 9% chance (+7% in Sudden Death): Adds 1 or 2 helpers (95%/5% chance)
Weapon: 12% chance (+9% in Sudden Death): Adds 1 or 2 weapons (95%/5% chance)
Health: 7% chance (+5% in Sudden Death): Adds (10 or 15) +10% base health (95%/5% chance)
Sudden Death
Water rises by 37 per turn.
Hogs get Kamikaze as additional weapon.
Hogs loose 1-7 health based on their health (if below 150% of their base health)
or 7% of their base hitpoints (if above 150% of their base hitpoints).
Highland
By adding “mode=highland
” as exact text into the script parameter, you can enable the Highland submode. Hogs in this mode collect weapons of their (enemy) victims into a pool and get a random weapon of this pool at the beginning of each turn (+10% health).
Hogs that have an empty pool get a bonus weapon on the current turn from the victims weapons. Friendly kills clear the killers pool (-15% health).
Hint: Pools of the victims do not get collected on death.
Kills will also add 5% more health (enemy kills) or remove 10% more health (friendly fire kills).
Specials: King and Air General drop helpers like Extra Damage or Vampirism
Sudden Death: Hogs will get 2 instead of 1 of the collected weapons randomly.
King Mode
By adding “mode=king
” as exact text into the script parameter, you can enable the King submode. It is the same as Normal mode, but with a twist:
The last hog of each team will be crowned King and once he dies, the entire team is wiped out.
The King’s health is linked to the health of his team. He will have 50% of the total health of the other hogs in the team. If there are no other team mates, the King will have 1 health. His health will update according to this rule at the end of each turn.
In this mode, kings, and only kings, wear crowns. The mutate
script parameter cannot override this.
Points Mode
By adding “mode=points
” as exact text into the script parameter, you can enable the Points submode.
Each round, teams get 5 weapon points and 2 helper points. Using weapons will use points, keeping them will also keep those points. At the start of each turn, a team will get random weapons and helpers with a total sum of those team points.
Weapons and helpers have different costs, depending on how strong they are.
Sudden Death: Teams get 7 weapon points and 3 helper points per round.
