I can't believe people aren't bored of shoppa tournaments yet... I think just about everyone has mastered vanilla shoppa. It needs something to spice it up. If it has to be shoppa, some things to try are: shortening the rope length, adding mines with a short fuse, or enabling destructible terrain.

well i had the same idea claymore, its nice this tournwy shows an important innovation like the multiple maps, but im htinking in something like 50% rope, Attack From Air (not from rope or ground but air), etc.. unfortunately im bad planifyng this stuff but i agree with you, innovations are needed!

Good idea, playing with half the regular rope length is a lot of fun!

well i think it has the skill potential because of the difficoulty to move with short spaces, but speed is impossible there, only slide- just my opinion
So I have begun practicing for the tourney (starting the end of this week), with the specified scheme settings and weapons. And quite frankly. . . it is REALLY boring with hog placement selected. I mean REALLY FREAKIN BORING!
If you don't believe me, try it yourself. It kinda takes the fun out of it. . .
So, not to be a party pooper, but unless hog placement at the beginning is taken out of the tournament settings then I am dropping out of the tourney. Sorry, I'm really not trying to be mean or anything, but it's just not fun, imo. I just don't want to play a ton of rounds that way.
I agree with TLD , it's reallllllly BOOOORING! Maybe call the scheme Boring Shoppa... This is very not the spirit of shoppa game. I mean , we have played it and each turn , no knock , no fall (almost) and the best weapon won the game. So , i'm happy to not be on this tourney , even if someone change that rule!

if we don't place them, yes you can have bad position, luck is a little part of game, and don't forget there is 5 match, you're really unlucky if you always have REALLY bad position

Check out the second line of the schemes.ini file. It says "size". Make sure it's equal to the actual number of schemes in the file. It can be greater as well, that shouldn't cause any problems.

What happens if my opponent doesn't show up? I imagine I won't be the only one with this problem, so maybe Mystery you could re-organize some first round matches for the weekend so that the people whose opponents didn't show up can still play a first round game.

tournament are created by player, they creat a thread and say you have until X to sign in
just read forum sometime and you 'll be able to sign in the next tournament
also, while playing online, sometime when a tournament is created, player can tell you by saying : are you in the tourney ? , and you'll know there is a tournament :p
Sphrix that doesnt make any sense, I've just looked on the thread and mrock is now against Lalo? Lalo didnt sign up in time and hes allowed to play and not legoninja? Is this because both lalo and mystery are TRB or somthing...this is complete injustice.
