In all seriousness, though, I /do/ actually kind of like the current behavior as it adds a sense of agency/urgency on missed shots in shoppa. In my opinion, a better approach would be to just use a generic timer in lieu of TurnTimeLeft to determine the "score" for racing maps. That said, I'm not thaaaat passionate about the issue and could easily live with it being "fixed", too.

Heh. Well, since you wrote most of the racer stuff, you can totally change it Smile

I already committed a timer decrement on rope firing, but I can revert it.

I guess one advantage to using the standard timer would be race-against-the-clock modes where there are extra time crates or something, and scheme configurability of time limits. Both could also be lua emulated, but starts getting clunky.

FWIW, we recalculated the records page using game time actually used, not turn time.
Blue is the new recordholder.

Nemo , I think you just need to delete record page and this thread too. We just need to play trophy with rounds record , no need to post all the time every records.
Something people don't understand like Sparkles : if someone rope fast , and using ropes much more than others players , he will have a better score , without cheating.
So nothing is fair in old records

I didn't create the page, and it isn't going away. I don't see any prob in measuring the time accurately. The change to rope will stay, which will impact all future shoppa/rope racing. Which isn't a big deal, rope has changed continuously over time. Tagging old records w/ version, or retiring them, is a solution..

So, yes, Blue *is* the fastest roper, and that will show more evidently in the next release. Smile

Is the Records page frozen or is there a limit of some sort? And that last statement from nemo sounds promising.

Erm, not totally sure what you mean, but...

unc0rr created the records page. trophyrace is the first run at it. he'd like to examine more things.
In theory almost anything can be recorded. He suggested for example an achievement for getting off the platform at the end of trophyrace. I haven't added it, and I'm not sure how hard it would be.

He added an achievement callback for lua to send to the server, if people are interested in more achievements, they should consider adding achievement code to existing lua for him to consider.

The trophyrace records shifted due to the calculation change, but they are based on the matches people played over the past year.
