Maps with the .bit file are already supported in W:A and WWP, so why not add support for hedgewars (Black will be considered Transparent)

The minute I stop watching you is the minute you go out of control. Just... please... for goodness sake... just stop throwing around images saying you're banned. We already have enough spammers attacking the forums.

Just because they're supported in W:A and WWP, doesn't mean they have to be supported in hedgewars. Also, having .bit supported would allow people to make crappy maps in MS paint easily and against the Hedgewars Graphics Rules, and believe me, we already have enough of that.

Long story short, just use GIMP and Inkscape, they're both free.

But that would make Worms: Armageddon More Cross-Compatible With Hedgewars!

As far as I know file-compatibility to commercial software of 3rd parties has never been a development target.

So if you seek such compatibility, then I'd suggest to you to create a personal modification of hedgewars (or whatever game) that provides you with the features you want.

But that wastes time! Why not add a patch for compatibility, at least?

Making a patch for compatability would waste time too...

Yeah, but making your own version wastes even more time. Why not add a bit to png converter?

Gimp?

EDIT: I thought you were talking about bitmap. It's not worth making a converter for some weird file extension that is used only by Worms Armageddon and absolutely no where else. If you're making maps with the .bit file extension, well, just don't.

For the last time, read:
GIMP CANNOT CONVERT BIT FILES TO PNG! IT ONLY WORKS FOR BITMAPS! PHOTOSHOP AND PAINTSHOP DON'T WORK EITHER, SIMILAR TO HOW PAINT.NET AND EVERY OTHER IMAGE EDITOR FAILS! PLEASE ADD A BIT-TO-PNG CONVERTER! IT WILL SAVE LOTS OF TIME, AND WILL HAVE HIGHER QUALITY RESULTS THAN RENAMING TO BMP AND CONVERTING TO PNG FROM THERE! THAT WILL WORK!!!

GIMP requires IQ > 20 to use.
DO NOT; I repeat, do *NOT* attempt to convert a bitmap to png without the help of an adult!

I'm also positive that none of the Hedgewars developers have any interest whatsoever of adding support to any silly files from other applications.
To put it simple, it will NOT happen. And even if you developed the code for it, I'm also pretty sure it would not be added to project as it goes against a lot of people's ideals.

As a note, stuff written in caps is -VERY- hard to read, therefor I stopped reading the last comment at the 6th caps'd word, but I'm pretty sure I can guess the rest of the content.

Any chance some of these spam threads can be closed now?

Not unless you close the spammer first. One day Noob will make some admin annoyed enough to actually ban him. Until then we have to deal with whatever stupidity he comes up with.
