First heard of Hedgewars when I was looking at many open source games, I think, that was a while back but I never actually played. Might've heard it mentioned before.
I never found time to try any of those games, but decided to do so and Hedgewars came to mind.

Hi everybody. I must say right away that I know English specifically, so there may be mistakes in translating from Russian into English.
My Name is Andrey "Worms 99" Novikov. I live in Moscow, Russia. I'm 27 years old now. I was introduced to the game Worms 2 when I was 6 years old, When I first saw my dad's PC, I asked him to show me how to turn it on, etc. And as a video game, I launched Worms 2 from Russobit-M. I liked it then, and for 20 years I've played all of them 30 games in Worms Series. I love making images (maps), voices, flags, and anything graphics-related. I'm a zero when it comes to programming, just visuals. There are no new Worms games from Team 17. Good content for Worms Armageddon For example, backgrounds, water, and just levels are really tedious. Well, I was looking online for something similar to Worms. My brother showed me the game Wormix, and at first it was catchy, but now it's not. In Wormux I tried it, but it didn't work either. I came across an image of hedgehogs online, searching for them as clones of worms. And then I saw the title Hedgewars.I think it was in 2018 or 2019. I played and saw that you can put hats on the hedgehogs individually, something that's not available in Worms. I really liked that feature. I saw that you can easily make images (maps), forts, voices, hats, themes. You can even add your own music to a level theme or background for colored maps. Huge respect to the developers for creating such convenient features! I'm also looking forward to gradually transitioning away from Worms, go to community Hedgewars. The most important thing is that there is an official website for the game, where all the information and knowledge base are in one place!)
