how about simply being able to save a game while you are in the middle of it - there are no features that I know of that do that. We're halfway through a game and we have to go lunch at school and start all over again later on. Is it possible to save game, if not could it be added?

The games save automatically. When you want to finish the game press the saved games button in the singleplayer screen right next to the demo button.

My suggestions:

1 - Add an uninstallation target to Makefile generated by cmake (if is there already an uninstallation target, I didn't find it) and put some instruction on how to properly uninstall hedgewars (installed from source) on INSTALL (or REMOVE/UNINSTALL).

2 - Add an option to delete Teams and Weapons (not only Create New and Edit)

3 - Fix this: If the hedgewars window is maximized and I go to Configurations (performing changes or not), when I click the save configurations button then the window unmaximizes. (it would be better if it stays in it maximized state). Not a big deal... just for convenience

4 - As someone said before... zoom feature would be very nice! Big Grin

Played it under a week but love it,
heres my suggestions:

weapons:
-a wrecking ball (sort of kamikaze using ninjarope)
-something that rolls
-gasoline and match sticks (two step weapon like shotgun) Smile
-minigun/AAgun
-glue (gluing yourself or enemy could be a fun strategy)

crates:
-advanced tech level (u get airstrike, rc plane etc faster than your enemy)
-crate who let u choose the place and type of next dropped crate (eg. fooling your enemy to get an exploding crate, or getting the ballgun for yourself.
-inflateable lifeboat (annoying to die because of a higher ground camper @ sudden death)

maps:
balanced tournament maps made so its very hard to kill a hedgehog 1st round by the starting team. Then it gets more fun.

graphics:
waterwaves: superimpose a couple of different wave frequencies and amplitudes using the simple Airy wave equation, it would look like realistic oceanwaves.

Lifeboat sounds interesting but might be unfair as well (depending on map and player skills).

How about a combo "gasoline + flare gun"? Wink Smiley

I like all of those ideas. Water graphics could use a serious revamp Smile Maybe for the rolling thing, a landslide of rocks. You select a part of the terrain and it breaks away. That would be very cool. Although this game rocks totally and is heaps better than Wormux, ill admit Wormux does have heaps better water graphics.

* new sound themes appeared in 9.10+ should be made a bit louder.
* with increasing hat count, their selection list should be replaced with a table

instead of the hammer hitting the hog into the ground...why dont you make the hog flat, and keep it like that for a few turns? when a hog is flat it cannot move or anything. SO if it is the enemies turn, and it is the flat hog, their turn is skipped.

When you select the teamcolor you can switch to the next color by leftclicking at the color. It would be great if one could also switch one color back by clicking with rightmousebutton at the teamcolor.

A weapon that rolls is a great idea.

A confuse feature would be cool, that would muddle the enemy's target for a turn, as in how the sniper rifle is unsteady.

- Fix the firing origin on some weapons. Most noticeable on bazooka weapons.
- Make hats/masks stay when using certain weapons, rope for example.
- Better randomization on generated maps.
- Add a mode that lets you pick the start location with teleport.

Already considering it, been on the list for over a year, but hey, next release maybe.

Hmm, it,s not so easy on Windows. Especially Windows 7 where i have HW in English language, despite that I have Polish locale everywhere...
I had to overwrite en.qm file with pl.qm to have the polish language choosen.
It's not easy to do for ppl who don't know how to do this.

I know that in Linux, only thing you have to do is override LANG variable with export LANG="locale you want to have right now"

But it would be convienient to have the ability of setting the language you want to play in.

Not everyone wants to play the game in the same language as their system locale settings. And as Magik_18l said, not everyone know how to find and rename the language files.

Here are a few more suggestions:

- Add a setting to change the damage on individual weapons.

- Add an option for some mines to be fake, maybe a percentage setting as well.

- Add some kind of weapon that strikes from the water. Like a submarine missile or something.

- Make the current players team-name blink to make it easier to see whose turn it is.

- Show the hog's name together with the amount of damage he took if he drowns. Maybe make that info rise a little bit above the water as well.

- Ropes should not stick to boxes. Alternately they could, but you should fall when the box is taken.

- Add a setting to choose the drop rate of each type of box.

Writing a whole new thingy for this small group of people who don't like the language *they* set as their system locale isn't something that interests me a whole lot. Maybe someone else.

Will *NOT* be done. Trying to keep some modicum of consistency between games for sane playability.

Come on nemo, this one needs to be brought up and dealt with eventually, I'm sure that in even now, in a voting most people by far would prefer to have all those rope problems finally fixed.

I don't know if it has been purposed, but what do you think about the weapon you could call "kamehameha". I'm sure every dragon ball fan understand what I mean.

About voicepack, is it possible to have some explanation on what codecs or specification are expected? I would really appreciate to create french voices in my spare time.

Like how there is a "Fire Punch" based off of Street Fighter. I was wondering if a "Kick Attack" (like a Spin Kick that Ryu does in Street Fighter) would make it into Hedgewars. Sorry for not clarifying the question.

Is it possible to have more players than 6 (with limit to the hedge count max =3/4)?
as i play with some of my friends and we always have 1 or 2 players left on the beach when we start playing.

could you raise the max user count to 9, with the limit of 4 hedges (=max 36 hedges @ map)?

More advanced Demo Mode (match replays or w/e they are called). Basically it lacks a rewind feature. But it would be nice to have different play speeds and instantaneous move skipping (all this both forwards and backwards). In a perfect scenario there would be a time slider.

Unlimited amount of teams.

Some interesting statistics after the end of a match.

If you zoom very near to a hedgehog you see that his resolution isnt that good. Maybe it'S a lot of work, but it would look great if the resolution was better. And the more you wait the more hats in low quality are produced.
So who ever made a hat he could post it in a larger picture then.

Were do those crates come from, it doesn't make sense that it drops out of nowhere, so I thought, how about making a plane fly by and drop the crate? After all, it makes much more sense than it coming from nowhere.

Here's a small list of stuff I want fixed or added in 0.9.14

1.
2.Make it so that you can't hook on to crates, because if you get it, you're hooked to nothing!
3.Bungee
4.Fix fronted full-screen. When you exit from playing, the screen is small and you can't make it bigger.
5.Make it so the way to get to the credits are more obvious.
6.Make it so you can add a description to game schemes while ingame.
7.Add a weapon called the Bowling ball.
8.Add a weapon called the Defuser knife (lower on the page).

Example for number 6:

(Pic) The following rules apply

Place Hogs: Place your hedgehogs before the game starts

Description of Scheme: This is easy Scheme, You place your hogs, no mines, no barrels, just the map and the hogs.

All those suggestions sounds very very good to me!
And, i want to suggest a better support to joysticks.
We all are able to play with joystick, but i wanna play with analog axis, and it's not possible.

So, that's it!

When barrels go in the water, I think they should float, like making a platform so you could stand on them, but I'm unsure whether they should still explode or not.

Hello all,

I'm new here, and recently discovered the game, which is a nice alternative at worms, even better because open-source and evolutive.
I have a question, maybe already answered (is so, I'm sorry Wink Smiley) :
Does it exists language audio pack? I saw in the options there were several audio packs, but all are in english. Is it technically possible to create an audio pack in french, for example?
I would like to participate at this, but actually I don't know from where to begin and how to record the little voices. So, my question is (well, I didn't have only one question ^^), how did you do those voices and could you guide me to do some in french please?
