I hate complaining, but I've been having a lot of trouble playing games on the official server. I am able to log into the server and create a room, and my friend is able to join me. We both add teams, I select a map, and when I start the game, the other player gets an error message 'Different Maps Generated,' and the round hangs. The other player is punted back into the room's lobby.

I am running Hedgewars 0.9.15-1 on Ubuntu 10.10 32-bit, and she is running Hedgewars 0.9.15 on OSX 10.5.

When we switch roles, and she creates a room, the same thing happens. Every fourth or fifth attempt, I get the 'Different Maps Generated' message.

She re-downloaded the 32-bit OSX version from hedgewars.org, and I uninstalled my copy, cleared my apt cache, and re-installed. Same result. Here are my debug0.txt and my Logs/game0.log files.

I'm trying to play a LAN-game on my school with a friend. We both use MacBooks and it seems to work sometimes. But sometimes, when we create a game, it just stays on the "Connecting..." screen!

Would like if someone could help us, what were doing wrong and why it only works sometimes.

I'm working on making a portable version of Hedgewars for PortableApps.com, and to test that everything is cleaned up properly, I typically run Hedgewars on a VM. I was able to run 0.9.14 in an XP VM, but not with 0.9.15. I am unable to get it to run, and I don't get any meaningful error messages. Looking at the process manager, hedgewars.exe starts as does hwengine.exe, but then hedgewars.exe closes and hwengine.exe does not.

The portable launcher works fine on Win7, so I'm not entirely sure whether it is a VM issue or an XP issue (or a combination of the two). Is there a known issue with XP, or with certain graphics cards? I know that 0.9.13 required that I download files for it to work in my VM, but I don't know whether those files still apply.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: It turns out that the problem was in the fact that I was running in with most of the services turned off (msconfig->Diagnostic Startup) so I could easily detect changes. Does anyone know what services Hedgewars requires so I can reduce the processes to a bare minimum?

when i try to connect to server i get 2 error messages the first one is "connection timed out" and the second one is "connection to server is lost". I´m on mac. I don´t have problems with internet. No program is blocking the game. please help

I have a few questions about custom maps.
I can map them and get them to load in the game just fine, however no matter what i do i get a border.

How can I / is it possible to remove the boarder around the map? also in the instance that i want a border i cannot get the bottom border to work, even when selecting border in the options menu. is there no bottom border and i have to draw a line and be forced to use indestructible terrain?

Can other users play on my map? or do they also have to download the map first? if the latter, i think dev team should consider making the prior into the next release.
