I've tried everything I can think of but I am unable to get Hedgewars to actually start up a match. I'm using the latest version from playdeb on Ubuntu Jaunty w/ Nvidia Drivers 180.53 on a Quadro FX 570M.

The game will launch just fine and let me configure everything, but when I go to actually start up a match, the screen freezes and just displays "In game..."

Searching Google shows that others have had this problem before but there are no solutions out there. My question is, what can I do to debug this problem to try and get it working?

I love Worms so I would really like to get this game up and running. Also, I'm committed to getting this working under linux natively, so please refrain from suggesting Wine or VirtualBox.

I report my two bugs with the .12 release.

Game is played in full screen 1280x1024 with full effects (no reduced quality).

Blur texts bug appears in this version, except text chat wich is clean :

Config : Windows XP SP-3 / ATI X1950Pro AGP 8x with official Catalyst drivers 9.3 (last and ultime version for my card because ATI doesn't support my old shit card now in the next Catalyst releases hehe). Change parameters in Catalyst doesn't change anything I think.

1.Vampirism dont work
I played SP i aktivate vampirism after i pick up it.
But every time i aktivate it (red Aura) no one of my weapons give me HP when i shot of a enemy.I tested it with napalm,Ufo,Basoka and shotgun.

2.In MP the faling Stars make a Graphical bug with the blue Background of the text.
but whn i will make a screenshot of it the bug is not showing on the pic .
I have a Ati 3850 and the newest drivers.

3.The sound of the drillheadrocket is the same sound of the jackhammer but that make no sense the rocket drill and not hammering in the ground.

4.Jetpack/UFO
ahm wehn i use it i cant holt the arrow keys to fly i musst klick the keys very fast to go up and for go up and forward i must klick very fast 2 keys and for navigate...... what the heck thats fucking hard why not fly with holding the keys ?
than can we moving better... a lot better.

The above states my question. I can't figure out how to set up a game against the AI. I don't want to play the random map the computer generates. And when i hover my mouse over the multiplayer option, it makes it sound like i can play against AI.
Please respond soon, because i'm getting bored of playing the random maps, and i need practice for online.
