It was supposed to be Vivi, as requested, but the hat would be too large. I guess a regular black mage wouldn't have that darker area on the hat... but I don't care.

i made 2 with a diffrent image than the one below.
after both it had these 2 effects.

I will delete them and see if it fixes the problem.

Hat rolling suggests you got the dimensions wrong. Consider using one of the existing ones as a sample.
The red areas on this template are used for the tip of the hat below, meaning hats can be tall and overlap the hedgehog above, but they can not come down below the hedgehogs feet.
i thought it was already out. i saw someone try rgb testing a sub-zero mask and they said to try it in .16, so if someone has it, can they pm me a mirror please? i still got the hats btw.

Red areas at top/bottom in every frame indicate space that will be cropped in other frames.
(light red lines belong to white background frames, stronger red lines belong to gray background frames)
So if you start drawing a hat with fixed height, then try not to overlap with the red lines in the first frame or it will be to tall (or too close to the bottom) to fit into later frames.

I know that Trollface had been rejected for various reasons (one of them is that we don't want to start getting the game flooded with memes).
About Gimo's hats... I don't know - maybe he didn't fix the picture resolution in time or not soon enough to get our attention during all the "we gotta release soon"-chaos.
However I don't expect the next release to take THAT insanely long again, so it shouldn't be too long until his hats get another chance

However, I couldn't help but notice that the variety of Star Wars hats has remained (very) one-sided, as far as the Rebels vs. the Empire goes, so I had a go at creating my own X-Wing pilot and Rebel Soldier hats:

I've been looking all over for the .svg files but I haven't found them. I can only assume they were on my laptop when it burnt out, though I thought that was earlier.
I may have to remake them for a second time, this time from scratch. I'll do my best though, and, also once again, I have improved my inkscape skills by an order of magnitude since I made them and I'm always ready for a challenge.
So can you send me a link to this new template or is the old one updated?
EDIT - Has the actual dimensions of the hat changed or can I crop them and move them to fit new template dimensions?

The 512px height limit is to support graphics cards with 512px texture limit.

Problem solved.
Yeah, there was a bit of a bug with colours in 0.9.15 (just RGB channels scrambled)
Fixed in 0.9.16.

I created a new png hat template.
Red areas at top/bottom in every frame indicate space that will be cropped in other frames.
(light red lines belong to white background frames, stronger red lines belong to gray background frames)
So if you start drawing a hat with fixed height, then try not to overlap with the red lines in the first frame or it will be to tall (or too close to the bottom) to fit into later frames.
If you want to use this template together with palewolf's SVG template ( http://www.hedgewars.org/files/fck_upload/file/template_svg.zip ), then make a new layer in the background and drag the .png into inkscape and position it at X: 0, Y: 5.
