Hedgewars 0.9.9 - crash when rendering explosion [Audio-related, sdl_mixer+ALSA-dmix]
Hi,
Just tested Hedgewars 0.9.9 for the first time. It initially seems to work fine, is smooth and looks very nice (!) (except for the always crackling SDL-audio, which is a problem with many SDL-games). But, whenever an explosion happens (like rocket launcher), the game craps out (back to frontend launcher app). The first time this happened (with 1280x1024 resolution), the error message was something like "Could not init engine: something path to some lib", but this message hasn't appeared on sub-sequent crashes, even though I've also cleared out ~/.hedgewars.
Ubuntu 8.10/x86
ATI X1400 Radeon Mobile (128MB VRAM)
ATI Catalyst fglrx 8.12 (latest)
GLX info here: http://folk.uio.no/oyvinst/glxinfo-b.txt
Hedgewars-0.9.9 packages compiled by getdeb.net.
Many other OpenGL-games work just fine on this machine, as well as OpenGL screensavers, etc.
I might be able to assist in getting some debug output. Is this a known problem ?
EDIT: This problem is NOT related to graphics/OpenGL.

Can't start map Bath
Hi guys.
One or two days ago it worked just fine. Played it even in multi. Since yesterday evening, it's not working any more. All other maps work fine. Looked in the folder to see if all files are there...Well, they are. So what's happens is: I choose my teams, leave everything else intact. Then push the start button. Loading screen appears and it exits and goes back to the game menu (where you start your game from).

jumping upwards?
Hi all,
this may sound stupid, but I just cannot find a way to let the little guys jump upwards as the computer opponent can. Any hints?
Thanks a lot!
In game... and game will not start
Fedora 10
hedgewars 9.8
When I start hedgewars in Linux, and select to play against the computer, the window opens with "in game..." in the upper left corner and never goes any further.
It compiled correctly after I added all the pre-req's.
What can I do?
