Hello! I'm the founder of the Hedgewars project. Also I'm the lead developer of this project.
As you maybe know, the game is developed for two years since October, 2004.
And now, it is the time for the first release!
Last week the developing process tourned into the phase called 'feature freeze'. This means no new features until the release, just bugfixes. After small bugfixing, there is much work on website, making packages, promoting the game. Cannot say for sure, what will be the exact date of the release, but I think we'll end up preparing in a week.
